Hi Danny,
Finally got time to go to your Hume Page. I did as you asked and had a look. I only put the scribbled names down to let you know who was where .... did not expect you to put my scribble on the net but it did give it the personal touch. The B&W did not turn out as well as the coloured eh, but then it was a dot matrix pic for the family newsletter I used to publish in the early 80's with the wee Mac SE. Same as the one I sent you of John and Margaret Hume and their families, only that one was in colour.
Great job, but I guess you did not manage to download the other pic's I sent eg Deb, Allan, Sam, Stu and Rob. Like I said before, sometimes I can get the Giff to work on my scanner other times it just will not perform. I will have another go later.
I see Rosalie has sent you another photo, that was nice of her. I was sure 1
had sent you one of all the family in NZ eg Danny, Rosalie and all the children? She has moved house now old house is u~) for sale. Oh yes nearly forgot . . f you missed 1 in 20 0 1 -I hope to get back to
1 NZ in 2002 as I want to visit the South Island. We did a quick trip on a winery tour the Sunday before we left, and took the family wreath with us. Rosalie and I (with the Captains permission) plucked all the flowers off and threw them into the sound on the way across. Was the only way we could return him to the sea which he loved.Robert's first son with Jean Hume in Blackpool is called Carl b 1959. I don't think he saw him again after the divorce.
You did a great job on the page looks great. I also had a look at all the thumbnails and I like the one of you on the bike ... but not knowing too much about them I did not recognise it. But 1 do remember the one Dan borrowed from you Dad one w/e in the 50's, we took a drive round the lochs, it was a 500 cc. I don't think it was the Royal Enfield but I can't remember which one of the others it was. Ah well I'm getting on a bit now so I suppose I'm
Edwards picture is on it's way to Jo and Hayley in St. Austell Cornwall,
so they may (I said it before) get in touch.
Well that's it for now, I have been working here for several hours and my printer has just run out of ink so I guess it's I went to bed and I will put in a new cartridge tomorrow. All the best to the family,
anna
